Ian Jeffrey is GM of FounderFuel and Venture Partner at Real Ventures. Among many other awards, Radar was recognized as “Best Mobile Social Networking Service” by the Webby Awards. After the acquisition of Tiny Pictures by Shutterfly, Ian joined the team as Director of Marketing of its mobile and social team. There he launched Wink, a mobile service that lets users create photobooth-style prints directly from their iPhone using photos from Shutterly, Flickr and Facebook. Ian started his career in 2002 as half of the two-man team behind Nomad, the now defunct Street Intelligence Agency of Cossette Communications. Specialized in word-of-mouth marketing and insight generation, Nomad clients included the likes of Nike, Coca-Cola and McDonald’s.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Communications and Marketing, Ian was brought to TELUS Quebec to establish its Social Media and Web strategies for its Consumer, B2B and Health properties. He established and put together the Web Strategy and New Media team, instilled processes and created the strategies that helped realign TELUS Quebec's web and social media efforts.

At Tiny Pictures, Ian helped develop a global product marketing and communications strategy for Radar, a mobile social media service centered on sharing pictures and videos as status updates, with specific emphasis on the North American and Western European markets. Using mostly (but not exclusively) non-traditional channels including mobile marketing, word-of-mouth and social media, Ian successfully created widespread adoption of the Radar service resulting in millions of users worldwide. Moreover, he was responsible for establishing and managing partner promotions with the likes of CBS, The Black Eyed Peas, 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, CollegeHumor and more. Ian also played a pivotal role in the Series B financing of the company, which in total raised over 11 million dollars in venture funds by top tier investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Mohr Davidow Ventures. In September 2009, Ian helped complete the acquisition of Tiny Pictures by Shutterfly Inc.

Specialized in non-traditional marketing and insight generation, Nomad pioneered methods to immerse themselves in targets’ lives, on their turf and their terms, to better connect brands with the modern day consumer. Their rigorous techniques delivered in-depth portraits of the consumer and actionable strategies to fuel the creative process. The tools developed by Nomad remain unique to this day. Ian's clients included Nike, Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Nokia, Mentos, Molson Coors Brewing Company, Bell Canada, TOHU, etc.

During his time at this restaurant, Ian increased monthly sales by 10-15% on average, and successfully rose its quarterly inspection scores on Domino’s Pizza International standards of operation by 15-20%.
